AltSchool takes a collaborative, community-oriented approach to learning. The small school structure, called a "micro-school," is flexible and adapts to the needs of students and educators. Inside, students learn in mixed-page classrooms with a combination of project-based and core skill learning. The students engage with the community outside by going on frequent field trips, meeting with institutions and experts, and visiting local parks. Outstanding teachers, deep research, and innovative tools create a personalized, whole-child learning experience to prepare the next generation for life in the 21st century. AltSchool offers programs from pre-kindergarten eighth grade. Take a tour of this innovative school from the perspective of one of its students.
