Rod McRae's Wunderkammer uses taxidermy, skeletons and plant material to explore conservation issues, including climate change, pollution, stewardship, hunting and animal-human relations. Each room of the Warrnambool Art Gallery features a surprising — and sometimes disturbing — presentation from the natural world. The Warrnambool Art Gallery was established in 1886 by a retired police inspector with an eclectic art collection. Today, the gallery continues to enrich the community by entertaining, educating, and challenging visitors. The WAG creates innovative and inclusive opportunities for people to engage with culture, both as audience members and as participants.
