TUI offers innovative customer experiences with Matterport digital twins

Matterport, the leading spatial data company, used to create digital twins of entire TUI SENSATORI brand

London, 20th February 2020: TUI UK, the UK’s number one holiday provider, has announced the adoption of 3D digital twins from leading spatial data company, Matterport. 

The technology will be used to offer an immersive and transparent booking experience, initially for nine of its TUI SENSATORI hotels.  TUI will later utilise Matterport technology to create 3D digital twins across its wider portfolio.

TUI SENSATORI is a sub brand that offers luxury holidays designed to fuel the senses.

The 3D captures, which were taken with a Matterport Pro2 camera, were completed over a six-week period. The digital twins are fully comprehensive, providing data and visual representation across every part of each of the nine hotels, with over 240 spaces captured.

TUI has embraced Matterport technology in order to increase content accuracy on their website, create more innovative and interactive content and to provide an unparalleled level of transparency for their customers. The Matterport digital twins will also serve to provide more versatile content for internal and external uses, which could include reporting, documentation and facilities management, alongside marketing and to increase the customer experience.
