We got in touch with Fernando Martinez of Brasil 3D to hear about how he captured the unique works of this gallery.

Q: What inspired the 3D capture of Ricardo Von Brusky exhibition?

The Ricardo Von Brusky gallery promotes an art auction to its clients featuring the works of that month’s exhibition via PDF and catalogs. With the arrival of the 3D virtual tour, the gallery's customers had the opportunity to experience these same works by navigating within the space in a virtual way.

This immersion technology made it possible for people to get to know and interact with the gallery by clicking on tags attached to works of art, as well as view texts, photos, links, and videos about the object of interest.

Q: What’s the one thing you want visitors to take away after exploring the space

In addition to bringing possible interested parties closer to our works, our intention is that the visitor has a positive and pleasant experience of our virtual exhibitions. Making these spaces accessible to people as if they were actually visiting the site allows fro a greater understanding of the gallery, and consequently the works of art.

Q: How do you think the ability to view works of art through 3D virtual tours is affecting the way people access, enjoy and appreciate art?

Online virtual exhibitions are recognized as important complementary counterparts to exhibitions. It overcomes space, time and location restrictions and allows global visitors to access these priceless and exciting treasures that are stored in galleries and museums.

The Matterport 3D virtual tour platform allows the user to surf in a fluid and interactive way allowing them to enjoy a truly immersive experience at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

This immersive technology allows the user to interact with the visited space, clicking on tags attached to objects within the 3D virtual tour, which helps us pass on more information about the works of art to visitors.

With fully responsive technology it can be viewed from any computer, tablet, mobile device, and virtual reality glasses. From a commercial point of view, the space can be accessed by millions of people from all over the world and will be able to tell a little bit of its history.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?

The use of digital technology improves the production process in conventional art galleries and greatly facilitates the interaction between viewers and collections.

The way in which traditional art galleries hold their exhibitions is limited to inviting the public to showrooms to see the original works of art in person. Matterport technology plays an important role in enabling greater access to anyone, improving the way we interact and enjoy art collections
