The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is a lab that conducts research on behalf of the United States Department of Energy. Operated by the University of California, the facility overlooks the UC Berkeley campus. This Space is the Advanced Light Source building which houses a type of particle accelerator called a synchrotron. The Advanced Light Source building was captured with not only the Matterport Pro2 3D camera, but also the Leika BLK360 imaging laser scanner as part of Matterport's partnership with Leika Geosystems. While the Space was captured using both pieces of hardware, it was all done using the Matterport Capture app on the iPad.
The Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant was the first commercial nuclear power plant built in Austria. Although the power plant was completely built in the 1970s, the plant never went into service. The main portion of the plane was towed across the Mojave Desert in order to land at the annual Burning Man festival in 2016. Take a look at the plane in its original condition when it was first bought by Big Imagination.
