The digital twins are used as the basis to create virtual tours for its real estate customers. Solution

In 2023, Sansiri began working with Matterport Elite Partner VRTwinS3D, a specialist in creating virtual spaces using Matterport technologies. Using Matterport Pro3 cameras and the Matterport Cloud platform, Sansiri was able to take images of its show homes, which could then be compiled into accurate floor plans and virtual 3D self-drive tour experiences.

Customers interested in any of the properties could use the Matterport 3D tours to explore the property and guide themselves around the areas of interest. 

“The experience is easy for the producers, our workers, and our customers,” says Samatcha Promisiri. “It’s easy to use and offers a great customer experience.”

Results

The enhanced customer experience begins right at the early stages of interaction. The online display ads used for lead generation can now direct potential customers directly to the virtual tours, boosting click-to-enquiry conversion rates. 

“The Matterport tours attract a new level of interest and more intense interest in our lead generation campaigns. It is very helpful because the customers get a convincing and comprehensive visual perspective of the property,” says Samatcha Promisiri. “The customer has a good online experience and a clear understanding of the property.”

By making it easier for the customer to prioritize the properties they are interested in, the Matterport virtual property tours enhance the customer shortlisting experience.

“In real estate, customers often compare options before visiting a project. A good virtual experience can help them in their decision making, so they can decide which properties they wish to visit in person,” explains Samatcha Promisiri. 

“Our Setthasiri brand might have ten active builds across diverse locations,” he continues. “The customer doesn’t want to drive to all ten sites. The Matterport virtual tours help our customers to decide which locations are of most interest to them. This saves time and effort for our customers. It also saves our sales team a lot of time and travel miles.”

Reducing sales travel miles and time out of the office for salespeople helps to improve Sansiri’s profitability. As well as reducing its sales overheads, the Matterport virtual tours deliver significant communications advantages for Sansiri’s sales team.

Selling more off-plan helps to improve cash flow in the business and is another way that Matterport contributes to Sansiri’s bottom line. Because of the success of the Matterport virtual tours, the Sansiri team has now created more than 360 of the 3D virtual experiences, with 270 actively live on its website.
