Viewers Experience a First in TV History with VR Experience of Presidential Home
LOS ANGELES and SUNNYVALE, Calif. — September 19, 2016— Immersive media technology company Matterport announced that EPIX, a premium entertainment network, is the first major entertainment company to incorporate the Matterport immersive VR experience into its original scripted series, Graves.
Graves, a single-camera, ten-episode half-hour dramedy, tells the story of President Richard Graves (Nick Nolte), a former two-term POTUS as he embarks on a Don Quixote-like quest to right the wrongs of his administration and reclaim his legacy twenty-five years after leaving the White House.
EPIX used Matterport’s technology to create a 3D and VR experience, available on the web, mobile and VR headsets, allowing viewers to walk through the exquisite New Mexico residence of President Graves, and experience the residence as if they were there.
