Matterport Customers Remain Free to Publish Their 3D Tours Anywhere

I want to address a question that has been reaching our customers: why did Zillow remove Matterport 3D tours from its platform?

The short answer is that Matterport took no action to cause this, and nothing has changed about your rights as a Matterport customer. Our customers remain free to publish their 3D tours wherever they choose.

CoStar Group CEO Andy Florance spoke to this directly LinkedIn, and I want to reinforce his message. As we have consistently stated— including in our press releases on October 21, 2025 and January 28, 2026 — Matterport customers remain free to publish their 3D tours wherever they choose.

"That same assurance has also been communicated directly to industry stakeholders, including NAR, MLSs, customers, and other real estate portals, including Zillow. CoStar Group and Matterport are committed to digitizing the world's real estate and improving the consumer experience."

— Matterport Official Statement, May 2026

Realtor.com recently asked us to confirm whether they could display our customers' tours on its platform. We were glad to publicly reaffirm our position that we are happy for them to do so. Both Homes.com and Realtor.com are displaying Matterport 3D tours, proving our willingness to work with other industry players.

Zillow's decision to remove Matterport tours was Zillow's unilateral decision. We did not request or initiate it. We call on Zillow to do the right thing for the industry and for our mutual customers: restore Matterport 3D tours on its website.

Your investment in Matterport technology is yours to use. If you have any questions about your rights to share your Matterport 3D tours — across your own website, social media, paid ads, and other listing platforms — please reach out to us directly.
