What inspired the 3D capture of this space?
We initially did a traditional photo shoot and even used a drone, but we quickly realized that the possibility of seeing the villa with an immersive, photorealistic digital twin would add something unique. I decided to personally scan this villa, as the view over the island of Lipari is truly breathtaking.
What are the “must-sees” you want visitors to explore and why?
We want visitors to really witness the “freshness” of the exteriors compared to the intricate details of the interiors. We want clients to visualize that they could live in a summer house that has all the comforts of a city house. The 3D tours offered by Matterport allows buyers to get an accurate understanding of how a specific home can match their liveability requirements.
How can visitors utilize these scans?
People interested in buying homes in the Aeolian Islands are typically based abroad and have never lived there before. Giving visitors the chance to explore the house before (or even after) the proper visit, makes their decision to buy more rational and efficient.
Do you have any plans to capture more 3D experiences?
Matterport digital twins and the 3D tours that are generated from them are becoming more and more popular. They are now a “must-have” for all real estate agents. In fact, we have been able to sell some houses without the need for any physical visits, so we decided to add Matterport 3D tours to all of our listings.
