Why Company Culture Matters

Our Chief People Officer shares her thoughts on winning Comparably’s Best Company Culture and Best Company for Women awards

Comparably Awards - Culture, Women

At Matterport, we know that company culture and quality of life are invaluable to success and motivation for our dedicated Matterpeeps. Understanding that how we engage with each other as a team is a driving force within our company, we’re thrilled to learn that our employees feel that difference.

I am excited to announce that Matterport has been awarded among the top 50 small-to-midsize companies with the “Best Company Culture” AND “Best Company for Women” awards by Comparably.

The Comparably awards are based on feedback from our own employees, which is why we’re honored to receive this recognition along with confirmation that our own people feel connected — especially during a global pandemic. Comparably’s “Best Company Culture” category focuses on 16 core culture metrics: from compensation to leadership to work environment. With each of these factors in mind, our employees ranked us as standouts.

Being awarded the “Best Company for Women” award also signifies that our employees are sharing that they feel empowered on a personal level, which is the very heart of our company culture. More than 40% of our employees are female and we strive to ensure inclusivity across every level of our Matterport family as we continue to grow. We prioritize diversity and recognizing unconscious bias as part of our core training and it’s extremely gratifying to be recognized for our workplace equality by female employees.
