Can I use the same equipment (tripod, QR clamp, Matterport app) as with the Pro3?

Backpack: Yes. You can adjust the inserts in your backpack and use it with both cameras.

Hard case: No. The Pro3 and Pro2 won't fit in each other's hard cases.

Tripod: Yes. You need a different tripod mount, but it screws into a standard tripod top.

QR clamp: No. You cannot use the Pro2 QR clamp with Pro3, and you can't use the Pro3 tripod mount with the Pro2.

Charging cable: No. Pro2 and Pro3 use different charging cables.

How much storage space do I need on my device to use Pro2?

Pro2's high-quality, print-ready 4K photography that the Pro2 Camera takes requires storage space on your device or tablet. You will get the best performance out of a device with 2GB or more of RAM, especially when scanning large spaces. Review our recommendations for iOS devices and Android devices.

What subscription plan do I need to upload scans from the Pro2?

You need a Professional Plan or higher.

How long does it take to scan a property with Pro2?

Do I need to calibrate the camera?

No, you don't need to calibrate the camera. The Pro2 comes fully calibrated straight from the factory.

How long does the camera's battery last?

Under normal usage, the Pro2 camera lasts about 8 to 10 hours before needing to recharge. Charging time is about 4 hours.

Can I use Pro2 to take scans in sunlight?

Pro2 uses infrared to gather depth data, which doesn't perform well in direct sunlight. Even on cloudy days, sunlight has a substantial amount of infrared light that can interfere with the way the Pro2 camera senses depth. Scanning in or new sunlight can cause alignment issues and holes in the dollhouse and floor plan views.

What is covered under the Pro2 warranty?

Your warranty covers the Pro2 camera itself. All other items, such as the tripod that comes with Pro2 kits, are not covered. The warranty is a one year limited warranty (2 years in the European Union). The warranty is void if the camera is dropped or damaged due to user negligence. Refer to section 5 of the Terms of Sale for more information.
