Miho Technos, the No. 1 general contractor in Tottori Prefecture, has adopted Matterport to utilize BIM point cloud data and streamline photography and surveying work.

Miho Technos uses point cloud data obtained with the Matterport Pro2/Pro3 scanner when creating BIM models, and also uses Matterport's solution for current status surveys to ensure complete photo records and to conduct surveying and dimensional measurements. Since the introduction, Matterport has been used in almost all of the company's renovation projects, and even skilled craftsmen on site have come to trust it so much that they request that Matterport be used for dimensional measurements.

Although the structural drawings remained, there were no design drawings, so the entire renovation area was photographed with Matterport. A survey that would have taken about a day using conventional manual surveying was completed in less than two hours with Matterport. Digital twin of the old school building of Yonago Municipal Keisei Elementary School . The entire interior of the elementary school building was digitally twinned after the demolition work was contracted. The photographs were taken to record the current state and to consider scaffolding placement during demolition work, but it was determined that digital technology could also be used to preserve the memories of graduates, and the digital twin was donated to Yonago City. Matterport's 3D walkthrough does not have any blackouts like when switching pages, and graduates expressed their joy, saying, "I'm glad I can walk around the school just as I remember it."
