Bill Brown,
CEO

Bill has a 25-year career of turning cutting-edge tech into breakthrough businesses. Formerly GM of Converged Consumer Solutions at Motorola Mobility leading connected home and mobile video solutions; Head of Marketing at bamboo.com, one of the first SaaS-based 3D tour companies; Strategic advisor for 3D sensor provider Canesta (acq. by Microsoft). BA & BS in Economics from Wharton; MBA from Kellogg.

Dave Gausebeck, CTO/Co-Founder

Dave started his career at PayPal, when the whole company fit into a single conference room. He built core back-end and security systems there, developing the first commercial implementation of a CAPTCHA. As one of Matterport's founders, Dave developed much of the computer vision technology that makes Matterport tick. He continues to develop and improve those algorithms alongside a great team of vision researchers and software engineers. He's also an avid strategy gamer. Dave earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

JD Fay, CFO

J.D. has 19 years of experience leading financial teams in both public and private technology companies. Named “CFO of the Year” in 2016 along with 10 other CFOs by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, and a CFO Award winner in 2017 by CFO Monthly Magazine, Fay is seasoned at helping companies grow from concept or first product to IPO or sale. To date he’s helped execute initial public offerings (IPO) for two companies and raised nearly $1 billion in equity and debt capital. Prior to Matterport, J.D. was Chief Financial Officer at View, Inc. and NeoPhotonics Corporation, and General Counsel of @Road, Inc. J.D. holds a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and is an advisor to nonprofit Open Door Legal.

Andy Leventhal

Andy Leventhal, VP Global Sales

Andy has a decades-long career leading sales and strategic partnerships in the home tech sector. He leads Matterport's domestic and international sales and business development activities across North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Andy brings over 25 years of experience in leading international expansion and business development efforts for top tier companies including EMC, VeriSign, Red Hat, Imperva, and Sunrun. As a two-time CEO, Andy has built venture-backed companies from the ground up and successfully sold to PTC and Tendril.

Bill Schmitt, SVP, Business & Corporate Development

Bill has had a passion for 3D since his early career as a GM engineer, working on their first all-3D car design. He has 30 years of tech management experience at companies like Autodesk, A.T.Kearney, and Agile Software, working on products spanning SaaS, 3D CAD/CAM, PLM, and Digital Media. Bill brings unique perspective to the team with experience in marketing, business development, sales, and corporate devleopment/strategy. He earned his BSE in EE from Vanderbilt, an MBA from Kellogg, and a Masters in Manufacturing from Northwestern University.

Linda itskovitz, VP Global Marketing

Linda brings over two decades of marketing, product management and customer insights experience from high tech SaaS companies focused on the enterprise, SMB, and consumer. These include Intuit, SuccessFactors (acquired by SAP), ancestry.com, Yahoo!, LinkedIn, Intacct (acquired by Sage), Paycycle (acquired by Intuit), and Bill.com. Linda holds a BA in Mathematics and Concentration in Computer Science from Haverford College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Damien Leostic, VP Product

Damien brings 20 years of Product Mangement and Product Development experience across broadband & In-Home networking products, and consumer oriented IoT and Connected Home solutions. Most recently, Damien worked in the Converged Consumer Solution at Motorola Mobility and was responsible for the Home Networking Hardware and Software Product Llines at 2Wire (now Pace/Arris). Damien is passionate about bringing new SaaS products and technologies to market while building rich and innovative experiences for users. He earned his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from ISEN in France. Damien has a passion for photography and music.

Bob Shakib, VP Strategic Partnerships

Bob has held various key engineering and product management positions at both large and small companies including Google’s Motorola Mobility divison, IBM, SGI, Apple, Neven Vision and Qualcomm. Bob has a strong engineering background (BSEE/MSEE from Columbia University) with thirteen years of software development and 17 years of product management experience with substantial knowledge of 3D graphics, image processing and video technologies (designed and built digital paint and video effects software used in such major motion pictures as Star Wars and Gladiator as well as an automated video editing system using computer vision techniques for mobile phones).

David Titzler, VP Camera R&D / Manufacturing

Dave has 30 years of product development and manufacturing experience spanning consumer electronics, computing, lighting, audio and camera products. The highlights of his career are the people he has had the fortune to work alongside to create great products and technologies at Apple, Palo Alto Design Group, Flextronics, Microsoft, Lytro and Beats. Dave is a SoCal native (read Dodgers fan) with a BS in Engineering Sciences from UC San Diego and an MSME from Stanford. In his free time, Dave wrenches on old and newer cars and is actively looking for his next home construction project.

Simon Wynn, VP Software Engineering

Simon has 30 years of engineering and leadership experience, starting his career at Dolby Laboratories, where he was part of the team that developed the Dolby Digital sound format which because ubiquitous in motion picture and broadcast entertainment. After Dolby, he worked for companies in diverse fields including enterprise computing, wireless, payments and entertainment, working at Oracle, Devicescape, early dot.com company Marimba, payments company clearXchange, and VR pioneer Jaunt. In his spare time he is a passionate SF Giants and Arsenal FC fan, and a player of all kinds of basses.

Jean Barbagelata, VP Employee Success

Jean has more than 20 years of experience with rapidly expanding companies domestically and around the world. Most recently, Jean led the People & Places team at The RealReal where she developed and executed HR strategies in support of the company’s doubled YOY growth. Jean has also held HR leadership roles with other major technology companies including salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, and Oracle. Jean holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has been active with the Northern California HR Association and SHRM.
