Bill Brown

Bill Brown

CEO

For 25 years, Bill has turned cutting edge technologies into breakthrough businesses. Before Matterport, Bill was GM of Converged Consumer Solutions at Motorola Mobility, where he was responsible for connected home, device management, and mobile video solutions. Before that, he helped develop and execute a consumer strategy for 3D sensor provider Canesta, leading to its acquisition by Microsoft. Bill earned a BA and BS in Economics from Wharton, and an MBA from Kellogg.

Matt Bell

Co-Founder, Chief Strategy Officer

Matt is passionate about using technology to merge the physical and digital worlds. He is the founder of Matterport, a company that has built a 3D camera and end-to-end media platform that allows users to easily capture, navigate and share real 3D spaces online, on mobile, and in VR. The roughly 200,000 spaces captured using Matterport cameras have now been viewed over 40 million times. Prior to Matterport, he started Reactrix, a company that created immersive, gesture-controlled interactive projected visual experiences for use in public spaces.

In his early career, Matt was a researcher at Google working on automated search classification. Matt holds a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Co-Founder, CTO

Dave started his career at PayPal, when the whole company fit into a single conference room. He designed tools that checked transactional fraud at PayPal, including the first commercial implementation of CAPTCHA. Dave’s love of complex, multidimensional puzzles drew him to Matterport, where he leads the engineering team in development of the algorithms that drive our platform. Dave earned a BS in Computer Science with highest honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
