White Grounds Skate Park

Explore This! Get vertical at the White Grounds Skate Park in London! This urban plaza-style skate park was once a rundown railway arch under a bridge that leads to London Bridge Station. The park’s design was voted runner up in the “Best Unbuilt Design in London” competition by the Royal Institute of British Architects and was soon after constructed in the exact location and style that the designers and skate experts had envisioned. The skate park officially opened in 2007 and has been a popular haven for skateboarders, BMX riders, and even street artists, who have added colorful graffiti to the stone walls. With a series of stacked angled ledges in the center, banks and ramps against the walls, flat rails, and a mini ramp, this innovative skate park has obstacles for every skater.
